Ah the glorious
freedoms of the world wide web. You can search, discuss and
share almost anything you want. Both the upside and downside of
the web are that anyone has equal access. That’s good news for
the average user, but when someone acts anonymously to vent
anger or frustration, or out of a selfish commercial motive, the
damage is hard to contain. An offending web post may be false,
but can you or your business devote the time or money to argue
their case? Rebuttal to a claim can merely inflame the issue.
Most businesses simply want the problem to go away as quickly as
possible. |

Your
initial reaction might be to hire an attorney but
unfortunately most legal remedies concerning online
content, such as cease and desist orders, do not work.
Hosting sites are fully protected by the law and simple
user agreements guard their user's identity. So all too
often you're left unable to remove the offensive
postings nor prove the identity of the authoring source.
Thus the Internet, for better or worse, preserves a
users anonymity. |

Despite
your best efforts a reputation can be tainted for any of
number of reasons. For instance: |
|
|
|
A HOSTILE CUSTOMER WAS UNRULY AND LOOKING TO
TARNISH YOUR IMAGE |
|
A TERMINATED EMPLOYEE HOLDS A GRUDGE |
|
A FORMER PARTNER IS DISCONTENT ABOUT A DEAL GONE
BAD |
|
A COMPETITOR LOOKING TO DIMINISH YOUR ADVANTAGES |
|
A PATIENT PUBLICIZING A GRIPE AGAINST A
PHYSICIAN |
|
A POLITICAL ACTIVIST LOOKING TO BRING DOWN THE
OPPOSING PARTY AND THEIR NOMINEE. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
The list
of examples goes on, and there are as many motives as
there are means. Those ”means” include not only blog
postings, but also actions as disparaging as false
reviews of a company’s products or malicious rumor
campaigns. |

Web Reputation
Guard:
Your Arsenal for Online Content Defense |
|
|
|
|
|
Web
Reputation Guard changes all of this and provides you
with a full level of defense against damaging online
content that seeps its way to the top of the search
engines. In response, we suppress these negative links
with positive and neutral tone content about you and/or
your business. We deploy Search Engine Reputation
Management (SERM) strategies that suppress all negative
content off the first few pages of the search engines
where they become nearly invisible. |
